Unfortunately, though perhaps the concept in theory sounds good, the reality is a different story, at least in this one title that I've read. As a story, the plot was not that great so I found myself bored in some places.

The only interesting character in the book was her sister Cleopatra VI Tryphaena. She had an interesting personality. She was cruel, she had a temper, she wanted to be queen and she didn't like her father as ruler. Looking at his behavior, I don't see how she's in the wrong. Since she was 10 years older than Cleopatra VII so that would make her about 22 years old and it fits since she acted like a queen.

The pageantry worked. “The moment he saw her, Antony lost his head to her like a young man,” he Greek historian Appian wrote. Cleopatra was not done – throwing extravagant parties and dinners for the Romans, flaunting her riches by giving away all the furniture, jewels and hangings from the soirees.

However, Antony’s fortunes were briefly reversed when he successfully conquered the kingdom of Armenia. In the fall of 34 BC, he triumphantly returned to Alexandria, where the Armenian royal family was paraded in chains.

then got into his more provocative material, describing a tutorial of things guys should do while "in the act." He ended with some classics like "Little Miss Muffet," which people yelled out word-for-word right along with the entertainer.

Although it doesn’t pay any direct prizes, the scarab beetle, which seems to be an essential part of any Egyptian themed slot, is still valuable. It’s the wild symbol of the Cleopatra’s Diary slots game, able to act as any other in order to complete combinations.

One is that the history aspect is practically nonexistent. Many individuals like the Roman figures such as Julius Caesar and Marc Antony are either mentioned or make a certain appearance. Cleopatra mentions the living conditions of the people in both Egypt and Rome as she expresses her love of her home and her disgust of the Roman city. She always referring to the Romans as 'barbarians' and she is constantly mentioning that they are filthy and savage compared to her perfect home.

The Royal Diaries is a series by Scholastic Canada, in which each book is a fictional diary of a royal queen or princess, covering only her early years because the series is geared towards children.

I’d picked it up because I’m already such a big fan of the Dear America books, and when I realized exactly what this series was - diaries of young versions of female royalty throughout the world and throughout history - it highly intrigued me and I decided to give it a shot.

Cleopatra (Kleopatra) VII is arguably the most famous woman from classical antiquity, and one of the most familiar personalities in human history. She is best known through the extensive art and literature that was generated after her death. The information from Greek and Roman sources about Cleopatra herself is surprisingly sparse and generally misinterpreted. She is familiar today largely through her representation by Shakespeare and in modern film, as a seductress who ruined the men in her life and destroyed her kingdom, an erroneous depiction that is in large part the result of extremely eloquent opponents and male-dominated historiography. More accurately, she was a capable administrator and military commander, a linguist who knew a dozen languages, and a published scholarly author. Yet she was also the last ruler of her kingdom, and her defeat by the Romans led to the destruction of her reputation. She ruled for twenty-one years, from 51 to 30 BCE, and skillfully attempted to salvage her dying kingdom in the face of growing Roman power and involvement in the affairs of the eastern Mediterranean. Best remembered for her liaisons with Julius Caesar, and Marcus Antonius (Mark Antony), she in fact carefully chose her partners in order to produce heirs who could carry on the kingdom.

Later, in 1905, Charles Fey created a machine called "Liberty Bell" which had a tool that made the website prize payments directly to the winner.

She had word sent to Antony that she had killed herself, knowing that he would soon follow. She was right. According to Plutarch, when Antony was told of his partner’s death, he uttered the immortal words:
